Does the MQueens GPU Github Software Still Work?
Hello,
Just a short question for anyone with an RX580 (Or possibly the 570, 560, etc. work as well). Can anyone test (unless they know already) if the GPU software still works? Considering getting one since they are relatively cheap here in the US.

I use it with an RX580.
Get the occasional glitch where a work unit will not finish unless you restart BOINC.
Apart from that it seems to work OK.

Re: Does the MQueens GPU Github Software Still Work?
Awesome, thanks! What are the speeds like for WUs? I have a 7950X and the units seem relatively fast, but I would imagine the GPU units are bigger. Also I am aware that MQueens is extremely variable in terms of WU length.
Re: Does the MQueens GPU Github Software Still Work?
Average seems to be around 13 minutes on the 580.
I suspect that it could be tuned to run faster, but I haven't bothered as the GPU is wedged into a PC that wasn't designed for cards that big or power thirsty
The WUs are the same - so you'll often see units where one host has taken 40,000 seconds and the wingman 150 seconds of CPU time.

Re: Does the MQueens GPU Github Software Still Work?
So, I finally got around to sourcing a RX 580. However, I cannot seem to get it to start crunching even though I dropped the right files into the directory. Any special things I would need to do? I am running the RX580 on Windows 10 as tested by the creator.

Re: Does the MQueens GPU Github Software Still Work?
So I just looked in the log. It sees the GPU, but when requesting tasks, it gets none for the card. There is no setting in the yoyo preferences since the project started CPU only which makes sense. Not sure what else I would need to do to get the tasks downloaded for the GPU.
EDIT: Turns out the current version of the software does not seem to work. Will most likely need to hit up sudden6 on Github. I tried the previous release and it is working fine.

NVIDIA support would significantly speed up the project.
