Queens project.

What is the point of the new Queens project? What benefit to society is it? Justify my continued support.

The description is not really what I was missing. The Wikipedia article does talk about the concepts, but does not really attempt to tell me why I would want to do this. I have removed the project from this machine, and will do the same with my other one once all workunits already downloaded are completed.

I guess there are some but they complete so much faster now. From 60-80k seconds to 30 seconds. Too quick to keep a PC busy.

I have noticed recently that my work units for MQueens have started to average around 13 hours or more run time.
This has led to a number of work units claiming much more than the set 800 points granted for these work units.

I had 1 that ran for over 69,000 seconds and claimed over 1,200 points only to granted the set 800.

Have MQueens work units started to run longer than they used to? If so maybe the granted credit should be changed.

Or is it a Linux thing?

I have had to stop running Cruncher on this Linux computer because every work unit under paid the claimed amount often by a lot. This does not happen on Windows where they all pay more than claimed.

I run a couple of yoyo work units together at any one time so they are not maxing out the computer and slowing it down.

Computer is a Ryzen 9 5900X so not a real old machine.
